On 28 – 30 August 2019, ASM presented to visitors many new hardware and software solutions around smart workflows and the smart integrated factory. Visitors learned how they can benefit on the road to the smart integrated factory from new standards on all levels of their production from machine-to-machine communication with industry standards and on ASM’s smart maintenance concept.
Unlike traditional machine exhibits, ASM introduce the Smart Factory workshop to a sand table model display. It enabled visitors to a better understanding of factory process integration and smart factory concepts. ASM demonstrated with broad equipment portfolio on three line models, from mid-speed series for full application of E by ASM to highly flexible SIPALCE SX production lines for small batch and multi-variety applications and SIPALCE XS series for high flexible mass production. At the sand table model, together with 8 smart workflows defined by ASM, visitors get to understand ASM’s wholistic approach towards solution development – the ASM’s Integrated Smart Factory concept.
One whole SMT production line featuring new DEK TQ printers, ASM ProcessExpert and SIPLACE TX micron and new version of SIPCE TX placement platforms were also brought to the Show. Visitors got to marvel at the improved capabilities of these platforms and how it provides a complete solution to them with the Smart Factory concept.
ASM also introduced latest ASM Academy VR technology learning system which allows training to take place anytime and anywhere, with no equipment assets nor manpower required for the delivery of the training. With this new learning technology, it increases the efficiency of training for customers and reduces the cost as well.
Visitors to ASM booth in Nepcon Asia experienced how new technology bring about change in production, and in factory operations, and how they can benefit from digitalisation. They were impressed and were all excited about it.
