The SIPLACE Measuring Feeder is the solution for a successfully integrated zero-defect strategy: it automatically verifies electronical attributes of certain components and efficiently prevents placement errors.
The SIPLACE Measuring Feeder has the same design and interfaces as typical SIPLACE X feeders, but it does not feed components. Instead, it uses a CRDL measurement unit to check electronical values of components such as capacitors, resistors, inductance and diodes (polarity). Components must be between 0.3 x 0.6 mm and 3.2 x 6.0 mm in size and must have to opposing connections on the bottom side so the feeder can contact them. The feeder can therefore effectively detect setup errors, splice errors and reels which have not been labelled correctly. With the latest version or SIPLACE Pro, operators can adjust the settings for component measurement.
